I think there is a party starting in my tummy
-Maren
Wow, am I getting behind or what!? I have exactly five minutes before I have to go back and see my next patient. I keep telling myself I'll get to this blog sometime, but it never seems to happen, so I guess I'll just write the five minute version of things.
Maren had a birthday and it was a lot of fun and she had a party with all her friends with a mermaid theme and games and everything and she also brought cupcakes into her preschool class. She is five years old now.
We went on a trip to Utah to visit family and that was a lot of fun too and we stayed at my brother's house in Logan and spent time playing games and eating good food and climbing the little hill by their house with the kids. Speaking of kids, they had a lot of good times in the unfinished basement except for the time when Lindsey fell and cut her lip so bad she had to go to the ER and get stitches, but she was in good spirits the whole time and pretty stoked about the stitches so I guess it all worked out okay. On the way home from our trip we ended up taking a 20 hour detour due to really bad weather, but Rachel and I had to work the next day so we drove through the night and made it happen and our kids were awesome travelers.
Evelyn also had a birthday where she turned 9 years old and she had a party with all the family in Utah and another one when her friends came for a sleepover at our house with a Harry Potter theme and another party with just our family at our house and tonight she is finally getting her birthday dinner in the most drawn-out birthday celebration ever.
Rachel has less than a week before she interprets her first Broadway play and she has been practicing a lot for it and she is going to do a great job and then right after that she is catching a plane for New York for her interpreting cruise and vacation and she is pretty excited about all of this. Meanwhile, I am leaving on Wednesday for a 3 day stay in Scottsdale for a dental thing that I am actually pretty excited for.
This weekend was sort of crazy with Evelyn's sleepover party and then another party at the Kroc center for Addy and Jackson's friend, and then another party/game night at our house with the people I work with. I also took the three oldest kids for a while while Rachel practiced for her play and we went out to a buffet lunch and then went rock climbing and then went to see the movie Moana at the discount theater. Good times.
Here's some pictures. Have a good week!

We made it to the top and found lots of golf balls along the way |
The kids were waiting in the car at the Kroc center and playing on my phone. I guess we have a budding photographer in our family because somebody took this picture but I have no idea who. |
